Got a text from a mate who was peeping www.wabowlscum.com yesterday, went and had a look on the forums for myself, and it's true - the WA backyard loop has been done.
From what I know John and Rory were both damn close, but John was the first to complete the loop and manage to ride a kickturn out after (no pussy roll out ramps allowed).
I would like to raise my glass to both these gentlemen and all others involved in this crazy enterprise for keeping the true spirit of skating alive.
I had nothing to do with the building of it, have only set wheels timidly inside the beast once, but am still the most inspired I have been by skaters in a long time.

reminds me of when i was like 9 and youd get a coin and make it do loops in the tunnel thingo.
