Wheels in the freezer?

Scro 13:43 08/Jan/09

I heard awhile ago that if you put new wheels in the freezer for a while they last longer? can anyone confirm this? and if it helps flat spots...I'm going through wheels like crazy.

according to rodney mullen it does

hathathathat 13:45 08/Jan/09

just buy bones wheels

tinbum 13:48 08/Jan/09

If it made them better, don't you think that would just be the way they make them?

According to that, I claim its a big fat placebo effect.

Make sure you wrap them in foil then. This will also help keep the graphics crisp.

braddox 16:17 08/Jan/09

what mr fox said.

i've also found that a knob of butter and a hint of oregano really helps with power slides and flat spot resistance. if oregano is not your thing, try paprika for a bit more zest.

seriously, IT WORKS!!

Works for me Braddoz.

I put my whole setup in the oven...on a rotary spit of course. The end results were, quite frankly, lovely to behold.

heard that one yrs ago... also if your having trouble getting your bearings in those tight fucking wheels (core) you can put your wheels in a pot of boiling water for 2 min and away the bearings will slide in... or just use lube!!!
