Sorry if there's already a thread about this...
But what is happening with the St Kilda skatepark in Melbourne?
Any news? Big kudos to Renton Millar for his tireless work trying to get the park built. We appreciate your efforts, Renton!
I want to get a mini built in Caulfield Park. I'm gonna start a petition.
I thought the council cancelled it after all the debates and locals bitching? Would like it to get done for sure, it's a super nice spot.
Not happening.
There was an article about it a month or so ago, which basically stated that there were too many objections from the public, the school near it, the people in apartments across the road etc.

They are fucking assholes. If the council wanted to build another yuppie cafe or a kiddie playground, the St Kilda yuppies would love it. But they think that skaters are only criminals and drug addicts.
