Australian skateboard industry bands together for Toowoomba!
Wednesday 19th January, 2011
We are proud to announce in conjunction with thebayskate.com and other major companies that we will be running an afternoon of food, fun and give-aways at the Toowoomba CBD skate park on Saturday, January 29th from 2pm.
The aim of the afternoon is to give the skateboarder’s of Toowoomba and the surrounding areas a chance to come to their skate park, hang with not only some of Australia’s best skateboarders, eat free food but also leave with an armful of skateboard product and clothing donated from Australian skateboard companies and distributors from right around OZ!
In fact almost 95% of the industry has pledged large amounts of product for the day including skateboard decks and other hardware along with mountains of clothing and other goodies!
So far: Blackbox Distribution (Zero Skateboards, Mystery Skateboards, Slave Skateboards & Fallen Shoes), GMTA Skateboards (Perth), Passport Skateboards (Sydney), The 4 Skateboard Co (Perth), Modus Bearings (Perth), DNA Distribution (Alien workshop, Habitat Skateboards & Shoes, Analog clothing), Element Skateboards, DVS Shoes, Lakai Shoes, Matix Clothing, Nike SB, Lush Distribution (Independent, Santa Cruz, Zoo York, Bling, Krux, Circa), Everyone Distribution (Hype Skateboards, Superbrand clothing, Landscape Skateboards, Heroin Skateboards, SML wheels), Picture Wheel Company, Holiday Skateboards, Trinity Distribution (Think, Hubba, Lucky), Antics Distribution (Stereo Skateboards, Hifi Wheels, Theeve Trucks, Armourdillo), SLAM Skateboard Magazine and also The Skateboard Journal have donated from their current stock towards the day!
Some of Australia’s best skateboarders attending include Tommy Fynn, Cale Nuske, Scott Standley, Pat Dandy, Alex Lawton, Joel Mcilroy and James Briody will be there for the afternoon to skate, man the BBQ and spread the good spirit to this town which has been through so much in the past few weeks.
The event will be at the Toowoomba CBD skate park located on the Cnr Chalk Drive and Hume Street, Toowoomba QLD 4350, in the middle of Toowoomba, approx 125kms west of Brisbane CBD. The convoy of skateboarders and product will arrive by approximately 2pm and stay until dark.
We invite skateboarders from far and wide to join the convoy and show your support to Toowoomba.

A second flyer will be out Friday afternoon with updated companies donating. Big up's to Project Dist and also Mappy who has confirmed Dwindle, Globe & Fasttimes are all on board donating product.
Tooza also rang confirming he is making the trek to skate, along with Cam Holling, Luke Rigby and Crew. I'll keep updating the list of skateboarders as they confirm.
Plus info on the convoy trip from Brisbane to Toowoomba on the day as we will all meet before and try and travel together up to Toowoomba.
Chalky is a pretty small park... don't know how everyone will fit!
But seriously thats awesome guys, good to see so many people getting behind this
