I heard Dave Quirk will be doing a set as well. Always good.
It is great to see the skateboard community coming together to show their support.
So out of the blue I get a random text from my good mate Steve 'Shoota' Kelly saying he has been diagnosed with testicular cancer. For those of you that don't know, it isn't like other cancers where you take a small piece of the affected area out, send it off for a biopsy and then get an understanding. Your affected nut has to go because it has the risk of poisoning your whole body if you tamper with it. So before you even know the extent, your testicle is removed. So as Shoota is going through this, Reesy and Shoota both contact me and says there's gonna be an art auction fundraiser. Naturally I'm psyched to support as much as I can, especially given the challenges that our friend Rome Torti has faced as well. Cancer is a bastard, and any awareness raised we can do - I'm down to help. So I was generously donated a few boards. I sanded 'em back and prepped them
I spoke to Dave Adair who had a rad shot of Lance Mountain's gap over the channel to Frontside Invert that was in the Skateboarder's Journal - he was cool to see it printed on some boards. Wild Digital in Canberra have this amazing printer that prints ink on at the same time as UV lights cure it. The prints come out dry..
Here's the Reesy fs boneless, I like this shot because I fluked the foot at the perfect time - it wasn't my single shot photos skills, it was a sequence that just happened to be so!
Here's a better view, I left some of the graphic on the boards... it kinda worked out well
Here's the Shoota Stalefish I shot at the Roll Forever Todd Webster session we had in 2012... these came out pretty epic
I also had two sets of boards left over from the 'Don't Push Mong' art exhibitions in 2010... Cardone's Stalefish in the Pothole...
