> EURO MISSION
I just got back from a rad Euro mission. Just a quick trip but I went to some rad places, hung with some rad crew and had a good time. The first stop was London.
I was stoked that on my first day there I caught up with an old mate who was keen to go shred. I went and skated a midi in a garden. Midis are rare these days.. a ramp between a mini and vert. This one had some different extensions and was a hip. It was fun for some jet lagged cruising.
This is my old mate Pete King. he is a champ and a mini ramp and vert shredder.
I hadn't been to England for a few years and I used to go there heaps so it was good for a visit.
It would of felt weird if I got there and the sun was out. On the first days I got the England rainy experience...
The reason I was in England was to do a vert demo for a stop of the gum ball 3000 Rally. A Car rally that goes over the US and Europe. I was stoked that I was going to be there the same time as Tas Pappas Euro premier for his movie "All this Mayhem"
Tas is an old mate, and I actually watched the whole story happen in real life. It is really good to see him come out the other side of his journey as a positive guy who loves his family and skateboarding. I was stoked to be able to see the premiere of his doco in Europe. It was playing at the BFI which is apparently quite a big deal. This is Tas and juergs getting ready for the movie.
Where Tas movie was being screened was just above the legendary spot Southbank. After we cruised down there for a look..
Tas was definitely the man of the moment. His movie is great viewing. Crazy story.
Theres a petition to save Southbank from development. Unfortunately the capitalist fascist regime is trying to take down Londons most famous spot.
If these ledges could talk I am sure there would be lots of stories how they got so chunky...
Wherever Tas goes where crew have seen his flick people are keen for a photo..
