> SLS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS SELECTION
The S2020C has ratified the selection of Australian quota place skaters (2 male and 2 female) to compete at the SLS Skateboarding World Championships in Rio, Brazil, 8-13 January 2019.
This will be the first World Skate-sanctioned Championships of Street Skateboarding and will serve to establish ranking and seeding for the Street competitions as we head into the 2019 Olympic Qualifying season.
The Selection Committee;
The Selection Committee met on Monday 19th November 2018. Comprising;
• Legal Chair: John Mullins
• Industry Representative: Esther Godoy
• Industry Representative: Will Stoyles
The Selection Committee arrived at the following decisions;
Male
1. Shane O’Neill, VIC
2. Tommy Fynn, QLD
Male Alternates
3. Brad Saunders, VIC
4. Ryder Lawson, NSW
Female
1. Hayley Wilson, VIC
2. Kat Williams, QLD
Female Alternate
3. Liv Lovelace, NSW

This place just received a $900k government grant to install a pump track and upgrade the skate park, so hopefully it will be good in 2025.

flat enough ground for beginners to learn to push and stay on the board, but the ramp is a little dodgy
edit: careful riding on the lighter concrete, it's really slippery and the change from rough concrete to smooth is super jarring
