THIS IS FROM A COUNCIL MEMBER AT RYDE COUNCIL.
IF YOU CAN MAKE IT TO THIS MEETING THEN YOU SHOULD GO.
I'M NOT EVEN A STREET SKATER AND I'M GONNA GET OFF MY ARSE TO SUPPORT SKATEBOARDING.
SO NO ONE WHO IS WITHIN A 30KM RADIUS OF RYDE AND HAS NOTHING TO DO ON THE 7TH FEBRUARY BETTER SHOW UP OR SHUT THEIR MOUTHS.
How are you ?
I just have a favour to ask. The plans for the Shepherds Bay Skate Park
will be presented to Council on Tuesday 7 February. To ensure that the
report and plans go through Council smoothly with no debate, we really need
as many skaters / parents / community members to attend and support the
application for the new park. Skaters are encouraged to bring their boards
and will not need to do anything other than just turn up to show their
support of a new facility.
Late last year approx. 200 local dancers turned up to the Council meeting
to show their disapproval at the closure of a dance school. Such support
overwhelmed Councillors who were pursuaded by such a showing of support.
Do you think you could possibly do me a favour and assist us to get heaps
of people there ? Could you put a message on the website possibly ?
Meeting will be held on Tuesday 7 February

anyway the pic shows shepherds bay in relation to meadowbank station, the city is south of the pic.
I think the park will be around the giant star, pretty sucky area to put it in, oh well.
