Don't put up with the bikes,tell them to piss off and go ride round in the soccer training or something.we don't skate on the bmx track when they're trying to do their jumps or flick outs or whatever they do these days.BIKES(LIKE WAX)HAVE NO PLACE AT SKATEPARKS!Here in Wollongong there has recently been a case where a 13 year old girl stacked her bike at the local bmx track.years later she is sueing the bmx club for nearly 1.4 million dollars for allowing her access to the track to stack and hurt her head.so if the bike kids stupid parents start sueing the council for allowing their kids to hurt themselves at the skatepark where they shouldn't be anyway do you think councils will continue to provide skateparks.PROTECT YOUR SKATEPARKS,DONT LET THEM BE OVERRUN BY BIKES!

BMXers piss me off too, but your argument is shit. wtf are we supposed to do, punch on with them when they show up to the park? they are just ordinary people like us, except riding a different vehicle, it sucks when they damage parks but skaters damage public property too (eg ledges) its just part of the sport.. not that i condone the damage in the parks, but fuck if BMXers arent officially banned in the park, then the builders need to use materials that wont get damaged so easily and they need to consider the diffrent lines and sections in the park so that there arent heaps of collisions and there can be more than one person rolling at a time..
yes john I too am no advocate of fighting I just dont think its fair when you badger the council for upwards of ten years ,take time off work to go to all the meetings be built up and let down over design changes and miss apropriated funds,to get a skatepark to skate at where you wont be accused of destroying public property only to read in just about every skatemag of some poor kid who cant even go to the skatepark for fear of being run down by bikers.Like we're grown adults we can take all the runs and get in their way till they leave but I also have two kids who skate and would hate to have to front some big tough biker for running over my little kids.skateparks were made for skaters let the bikers do their own work and get their own parks
Im a rider and helped get the Sunbury Skatepark built, I practically desgined it. were not all assholes, i learn to watch when im in someones way,or ask someone to move when there in my way. Yes we do more damage to skateparks than skaters, but like John said builders have to take that into consideration and build a better stronger park that will take the punishment.
yeah sorry for my soap box ranting .It just gets to me sometimes.After so much work to get skateparks built I'd hate to see it lost to inappropriate use.What a waste of effort that would have been and we'd be back to hiding down the corner of some local carpark after hours hoping toe police dont show up to kick us out.
I just hate their snaking and sitting in groups in the way.
Oh and hitting their pegs on bare cement edges
Their complete lack of peripheral vision is no help either.
Send em back to the dirt tracks or just shoot em I say.
