This has been said a million times before on a million threads. If you want to get a park built the first thing you need to do is get a great big fuck of pettition with as many signitures as you can. And if your serious you will actually need to be commited to the project. The reason 90% of these projects fall over isnt because of the council being dick weeds (although most of the time they are) Its because a bunch of kids get together whinge for a park and then just go 'right weve done our part, wheres our park' and then they wonder why it doesnt happen then they rag on the council. It took us 5 years to get dover. I know thats a long time but thats cause its a small place with a rural council if had the resources of the councils in town and the support that simon I and the rest of the groms put in down there we could have had it done in two. Any one who has had anything to do with government or councils will realise that things dont just happen the only way to get things done is to play by THEIR RULES. I know that sux and its not really the way of the skater but thats the way it is. If you guys are really serious about getting a plaza for street and from all the tass threads i see about the place then I reckon you are do something about it. Even I would help do my part (and for those who know me you will realsie im the worst street skater in the world Transitions where its at) if you could get the ball rolloing. The rosney council guys arnt that bad i dealt with them when i bought the vert ramp off them and they didnt seem that bad. As I said the best thing to do is start with a petition and then go from there once they see that there is heaps of support for a park then they have to pay attention its their job.. Another good idea is to get in contact with the guys from convic. They deal with councils all the time and they can help organise things. plus they build bullshit parks and if you work closely with them you can get a park that you want.
