> INALA SKATE PARK UPGRADE
Brisbane City Council have announced that upgrade works for the Inala skate park will begin in September. The Inala Skate Park upgrade will amend the site’s drainage issues and significantly expand the facility with a variety of new features, including social spaces. These will benefit both skaters and the broader community. Work will be undertaken from 7am to 5pm Monday to Saturday. Residents will be notified if any out of hours works are required. No changed traffic conditions are expected as a result of this project. However, traffic controllers will be on-site when required during construction to ensure a safe road environment for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. Inala Skate Park will be closed for the duration of construction. Users seeking alternative facilities should use nearby Acacia Ridge Skate Park (James Freney Park, Acacia Ridge) or Carole Park Skate Park (Boundary Road and Waterford Road, Carole Park) until construction is completed.
