Jim rang me earlier today. This morning the AFP rapid response unit conducted simultaneous raids on his house and Shiftys. Several items of interest were seized during the raids. I'll keep you guys posted.
It's a media beat-up, typical of the stupid tabloids. Don't watch the commercial TV news. They specialize in these manufactured controversies.
Of course the memorial is skated. It looks fucking awesome for skating!
The skaters don't mean to disrespect anyone. They're just having fun at a rad spot.

drew, not sure if i believe you (pics or it didnt happen) i dont think the afp would be stupid enough to raid a skate shop and jims house because some skaters skated a war memorial, but on the other hand i can also see them being stupid enought to do it

Yeah its hard to belivee. Apparently they just took a camera, some tapes and a memory stick. Jim is just pissed because all this scared his missus a heap.
i hope they get a very stern talking to because skating war memorials is not on.

sounds like we all could n should buy a 'round of beers at the pubs this weekend (for strangers we don't know).
years ago me n a biker mate of mine (not bmx, talkin' harley hogg / chopper wise) we were at the pub at east dev' next to the spirit of tas depot sippin' after work n bought a bloke a few beers ... this older bloke was lining up his coins on the bar to buy his own beers but we shouted him.
*note.- that's my explanation of the buy a stranger a beer this weekend.
what i didn't say n didn't wanna say (didn't wanna sound sucky to diggers etc).
if ya see an older bloke buy him a beer, if he's a digger buy him a beerio or ten. we did.
if he's got metals etc (not that you'd know but yeah take a guess by lookin' at the bloke).
still shocked about what's happened with krim though, keep us upto date drew.
