Pac Pines Comp Results

Mark Brimson 10:40 22/Feb/09

It seems every time the Gold Coast City Council schedules an event at Pac Pines, it rains and is cancelled as per the last three events there, so I tried to make sure I had a lot more in the prize pool for this one.

This comp was no exception regarding rain, only this time, we ran it as best as we could and as the last tricks went down, the rain started coming down too, very hard as well.

Prizes were given out to those who stayed for a while afterwards, but some were quicker to head for cover, so I made sure I got all details down and those skaters will get their prizes next comp I see them at or we can work out something else for them.

Jams around the park, avoiding wet areas as much as we could included on the mini ramp section, the main bank hips in the middle, the mini vert wall / big quarter to the side and lastly the big 3 set (mostly the 2 set) for the throw yourself off trick comp.

Overall results as follows:

Mark (not me - white singlet) = deck 8.25

Ryan (japan tshirt) = deck 8.5 or trucks

Jimmy (hesh style) = deck 8.25 (given after comp)

Kerry (white dc tshirt) = deck 7.75 (given after comp)

Peter (black singlet) = wheels / something else

Harry (blue tshirt) = wheels (given after comp)

Jordan (fresh circas) = bearings (given after comp)

Others who were out there giving it a go for the younger age group:

Thor (ripping on mini ramp) = deck

Nick (ollie off box and pop shov over hip) = wheels?

Keiren (pop shov over hip) = something...

As I said for all those who were given prizes, good for you and for those who were yet to receive yours, either meet up at the next workshop or comp and I will give them to you or work something else out.
