please dont hate on me if this thread is gay or boring..
can anyone help me out with ideas for work experience in skateboarding other than a skate shop?
yer i was thinking along the lines of photogrpaher or magazine editor,
but slam doesnt have an actual office do they?
i need something near sydney/newcastle
check slam website for it
they had a little advert for working for them

I had two weeks. First week I did at Skating Life mag, which was awesome. I would get in at 9, read skate mags until Fox got there at about lunch, read some more mags, then go skate. Sounds like a waste of time? Think again..For a skate grommy like me it was unreal. I got to meet photographers, pro skaters and some industry dudes, and go to some skateparks. Scabbed some free proddy too. Thanks Fox.
Week two I did at 100% Mambo..which at the time was kind of cool in skating. Saw everything from design stuff to screen printing and the warehouse. Then scabbed a bunch of proddy there too...
not sure if thats any help at all, but there are options to see all different parts of the skate industry...clothing companies, shoe brands, mags...heaps of stuff.

ha ha ha where do you think they make slam?? out and about? at the skatepark?
give up now. or come in at a later stage of ur carrier if u want in on skate scene.
i did mine at a skate shop, was rad!
got sent down to the skatepark to trail and research new shoes and boards that they had been sent and a couple weeks later they offered to sponsor me, the rest of the days were spent looking through catalogs at new product and watching skate movies.
