The Skateboard 2020 Commission (S2020C) has recently been formed under a charter which identifies the
Commissions core purposes as being
i) to ensure the best Australian skateboarders are prepared for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games,
ii) to provide direction and reporting on all high-performance matters and
iii) to bring together key strategic decision makers from the sport and its stakeholders in achieving these purposes.
An early decision of the Commission has been to create a Technical Committee through an open and equitable process.
Having considered an overwhelming number of applicants, making the selection process extremely challenging for the Commission we are pleased to announce the successful candidates;
-Alain Boglio
-Andrew Mapstone
-Brett Margaritis
-Corbin Harris
-Esther Godoy
The Commission are excited by the passion and extensive expertise the Technical Committee will bring to a variety ofkey areas, as they work with the S2020C in the provision of industry specific feedback and guidance in the delivery ofstrategies to optimise skater outcomes and the maintenance of skateboarding culture in any initiatives.
