Sup all,
just posting the new draft plans for thornleigh bowl, got a noice lil bowl and some good runs, altho convic arnt designing it this time, its 'Redbox Design Group'... dunno who they are but they better do a good job of it.
And now...a message from Dana Spence:
Thanks for attending the first Brickpit Skate Park design meeting on 30 May at Brickpit Park Indoor Sports Stadium. Or if you didn't make it, hopefully you can attend the meeting next week.
Redbox Design Group and Council have been busy gathering information to enable a design to be prepared taking into account the feedback we got at the first design meeting.
The next design meeting is scheduled for Tuesday next week on Go Skateboarding Day!

WHEN: TUESDAY 21 JUNE AT 6:30pm
WHERE: HORNSBY SHIRE COUNCIL CHAMBERS DOWNSTAIRS IN FUNCTION ROOM 3
WHO: ALL WHO ARE INTERESTED IN THE DESIGN ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND
The draft design should be available later today. I will post the design on Council's web site under Recreation/Parks/Skate Parks by the end of the week. If you can have a look before the meeting that would be great!

anyway bavk to argument, why the fuck have small parks everywhere, why not a huge one ... seriously..
Looks good, but just a few suggestions..
There probably isnt enough runup for the top ledge
The ledges are too small. (Just because a legde is small doesnt necesserily make it easier to skate, it can just be impractical and no-one will use it)
It might be hard to get a good line into and out of the bowl down the bottom. Putting a bowl corner or even just extending the ramps out might solve it.
Just my thoughts.
that looks mad, and fetus's ideaas would make it so good, but also the rail needs to be a down rail i think, and yer, extend the open end into a bowl corner, which is easily done

Cramped, but cool concept. If gravity and speed weren't taken into account it would be cool to flow in. When it's built, I want to see someone kickflip from the flat in the top right hand corner into the quater. That would be fucking sick.

nice design but the mini up the top is a waste of space really. leave the mini that is connected to the park design and remove the other mini quart and put a curved ledge around the corner there and place the mini quart at the other end......man I might of confused you there..anyone else no what I'm saying

yeh Wild 9 i catch ya i think thats a great idea and like i said at the meeting thwey should have a curved ledge on a hip around that corner riversidfe style. HOWEVER unfortunately theres this hiomosexual pedofile dude at all the meetings going "think of the children" n shit and wants everything real small
