i know theres probably a lot of people with the same problem. The council are really gay i've been asking thwm for about 3 years to build some kind of skatepark, and they give me some crap excuse everytime. It's the Manningham council, any1 have any ideas to make em do something bout it.
move outta donny, templestowe, bullen or where ever it is...I grew up in donny east and i know what the council is like

Its a goldmine of info to use to get council to do what you want. Read the bike strategy and see if you can piggyback off BMX to get a skatepark. Check for Social Plans or Youth Strategies. My council had a social plan done by a uni and they recommended a skate park be built in 2005. I pointed this pout to the mayor so they are working on one now...
Work out how you could address the problems youve been told so far - other councils overcome them!
my ramp got taken by the council on one of those rubbish collection days... along with a box and a childs bike (some other people)
Yeh lets trash the council!! if you live in manningham, then call the manningham youth services on this number - 9840 9171. If stax of people call then they cant say no. everyone call up and say that your not happy and u want a skatepark built in Manningham!!

monash council in melbourne are the worst. like one skatepark in the whole councils area
Same in Manningham, theres a mini skatepark in warrandyte n thats it... not goood enough!
haha, when i was in donny at Christmas time I skated the Warrandyte park/thing...
...for about 2 minutes...
how shit is it eh?
emailed my local council yesterday about the fact that we have no skateparks in any of our surrounding suburbs and theres shitloads of parks and shit in my suburb which have ampol space for a park to be put in, doubt they will reply.
