> MEMORIAL PLAQUES AT SKATEPARKS
Just wondering if anybody has any experience in getting a memorial plaque put in at a skatepark? more to the point getting it included in the building of a skatepark.
I know something for FIN got put in at Bondi. Was this a mission to get through council?
Does anyone have any other examples of memorials at skateparks in Aus?
It seems the Gold Coast City Council don't encourage plaques, and would rather have a tree planted, but you can't go past a memorial plaque resembling a filter/deathbox on the lip of bowl in the deep end.
Hey Albert, there was also a park bench overlooking the south head of Bondi with a small plaque dedicated to Fin on it.
I'll try to get some more info about it today.
usually the memorial "plaque" ends up being just a big piece of shitty graffiti that some drunkass dude does at one in the morn.But on the topic when i die i would love to be built into skatepark or something.for instance they could put me into a seethrough vert wall or make me a tombstone in a bowl and bury me underneath-hey its stupid but shit they wouldnt be pullin that park down anytime soon!haha
