Faulty VX1000 anyone know what's wrong?

Recently bought a VX turned out to be a bit faulty. The footage seems to be lacking tone and detail, as can be seen in the screenshot. Anyone know what the problem might be?

Shiiett buying a vx1000 is a gamble haha, I've seen people fix similar problems to this by giving the camera a little slap on the side, but I'm not 100% sure. Maybe post in the camera malfunctions section on skateperception.com, those guys seem to know just about every which way to fix a vx.

Here's a link to the forum I mentioned - http://forums.skateperception.com/index.php?/forum/56-camera-malfunctions-and-repair/

yeah you never know with the ol VX. Best advice I can give is give it a HARD spanking. From my own experaince and others, if you give it multiple hard spanks on the bottom of the camera while looking through the view finder can knock whatever is happening inside back into place. Best of luck and let me know if I can add you to the long list of people whos vx issue was solved with a spanking.

haha I'll see how it goes with the hard spank cheers for the advice g
