> NEWBURY SKATEPARK DESIGNS
New designs by Baseplate for Newbury Skatepark in Craigieburn. Working with existing plans this park will offer some quick lines, pockets and hits with a DIY feel. Baseplate designer Darren White explains “Space was extremely limited, but the potential for something small, fun and challenging was there for sure. Can’t wait to skate it and see how it all links together.”
The park will be located at the Corner of Grand Boulevard & Newbury Boulevard, Craigieburn, Victoria.
Is that a massive jail to put kids in that don't follow skate park etiquette? Great initiative.
A lot of weird decisions made in this design.... 2/5 because the fish n chip shop had good chips.
The footprint of the skatepark was locked into an existing masterplan which controlled the shape. Skatepark design was mine, but I didn't know they planned to do those ledges. More pics from my trip out there to follow. I had a heap of fun there, the banked hips could have been a bit higher, but probably wouldn't change anything else... Thoughts?
