Tampa Skate Park

This park is in Florida in a city called tampa. The skatepark is indoors and outdoors and is made of plywood layed on concrete. this skatepark is know around the world for its contests held every year like tampa pro and tampa am. people like Eric Koston, Kyle Bernard, Rune Glifberg, Bucky Lasek, Rick McCrank and many more come to the pro contest every year The 2002 course has many good features like the wave wall (a vert quarter pipe), a 3 sided pyramid, a long box with a rail going up and down it and a small box with a flat bar going down it. In this park a record has been set, in last year's tampa pro 2001, the SPoT workers built an entire loop and gave $1,000 to the first 3 who could make it. Bob Burnquist was the 3rd to make it regular then later on he made the loop switch! Outside the park is a large vert ramp with a channel with a rail connecting and has a few mini-ramps and spines. this park doesnt have helmet laws and they do have bike only nights, so if your in the US at march try and get down to Florida and go to tampa because the pro contest will be on. The park has a pro shop which is the largest in tampa with lots of shoes and boards. it costs $10 max for a session and ladies ride free exept on sunday under 12 sessions.
